What the hell is with all the crypto currency popping up anyway? Litecoin, devcoin, newbcoin, papasmurfcoin. Like where does it stop? Do I just invent my own crypto coin to make my next house payment in 20 years? Yeah uh today it's going to be chips-a-hoy coin. Yup.

It does seem to be a bit ridiculous at the moment, some are dead on arrival
(mousecoin). They can be used for short term gain if you're careful.  Anyway
it's easy to just avoid all the knock-offs and stick with coins you find to be
reputable, just like any other product.

Why would anyone want or possibly need a 'Mousecoin'? These coins are pure stupidity.

Yes, but the time limit gets less and less the more activity you get.

I think the donation price is 10BTC actually, but yeah, that's a lot.

If you donate 10 BTC, you can get a special "Donator" title and a green "who's online" color. If you donate 50 BTC, you get VIP status and the ability to create a custom title for yourself

Theymos made it clear the price will not be dropped.

I said a long time ago that the prices would remain the same, so I can't change this policy now in any case.

Are the new ranks' price going to be variable or adjusted every x days or months depending on BTC price?

Maybe. I haven't thought about it much yet. The forum doesn't need donations, so I'm not going to create another donator level soon.
