Middlecoin/cgminer issues?

Hey all!

So I'm a super newbie to all this (only been mining for a few days). Following some advice on reddit, I started using cgminer and pointed it to middlecoin. Here is my script for cgminer:

cgminer -o stratum+tcp://middlecoin.com:3333 -u 1M8Nze... -p x

This is the recommended script from the middlecoin webpage with the exception of --scrypt. When i use the --scrypt my hash generation is ~6Kh/s but without it's ~50Mh/s so I leave the --scrypt off.

Prior to cgminer, I used minerd for CPU mining. This was generating ~7kh/s per processor ( 8 ), so I switched to cgminer.

However, using cgminer, my information on middlecoin does not update. I'm not sure if this is related to the issues with the site or with cgminer. Everything looks good on cgminer, but I'm not getting any Accepted MH/s or Rejected MH/s which I was getting for minerd.

Does this look good? Am I missing anything? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It looks like you might be hashing in SHA256 instead of Scrypt mining. The stats shown in mhs instead of khs is usually a dead give away. Put the --scrypt argument back in the command. Right now it appears that you are generating garbage hashes.

Thanks! So if that's the case, would it be better for me to continue using minerd? Since each core give me 7k? I'm not sure which would be the best use of resources, gpu or cpu.
