What do you guys think Coinye coin will it beat dogecoin?

I don't think coinye will go anywhere but who knows. I personally mine ltc and dogecoin. The dogecoin community seems pretty active if you check them out on reddit.

Coinye coin is a waste of time in my opinion.
The general public are either indifferent to Conye or dont care for him (or his hobbit girlfriend).
No big deal that a coin is named after someone who is quasi famous. Only to a certain ilk of people will this coin hold any meaning.

1) Unpaid attention, that would be hard to achieve by most major coins. 2) Ongoing court battle, that could make precedence for others. 3) Plain and candid fun from trolling KW. |

Coins will need something to achieve mindshare, if not technical innovation then a gimmick will do. So yes, Coinye is a symbol of the future.

I can't see it having any future, I mean what does it bring to the market?

Unpaid attention for a lost cause, that's the real shame. At least it brought more attention to crypto - it is surely a martyr. |

This coin is dead.
If it hadn't been premined by the dev and insta-sold on the 'first day' then maybe it would have had a chance. I have some in my wallet, but I'm just gonna forget about it and tell my friends that I posses it.
Love the attention the coin is getting the crypto community too! I'm a huge KW fan personally and I thought the whole thing was funny

I think there is some potential behind it. I don't know why Kanye didn't just back it, get the free coins and sell it after the initial hype of everything. Free money for him for not doing anything.

Coinye is a scam with somewhere in the region of 500,000,00 to 1,333,332,000 coins premined and dumped (for around 8 or 9 satoshi) some 3 days after launch on a pop-up exchange.
Kanye West was just used as a publicity tool to suck in enough miners/buyers so thay they could get enough signatures for a petition limit to get it on cryptsy (then they could dump the premine right away). They were setting up cryptsy petitions within hours of the launch.
The new owners had an opportunity to completely redesign it and comply but it seems they prefer to go down the same dead end as the original devs, straight into the great crypto toilet bowl of history.

Coinye doesn't have future mainly because people are too scared about lawsuits etc that would ruin their investments.

What does that thread mean? That new coin "Koin" sounds suspiciously like another coin doesn't it ? They state "Premine: 7,234,659,432 Koin ( Already split up quite well and out of any one entities control. Most holders of the premine are not even aware they have it! )" |

I think if anything it made people less inclined to trust any of them, aside from maybe bitcoin. Kanye is a joke to adults. There is no court battle there is a cease and desist order that will outlive anyone caring about the coin. This is the same sort of delusional idiocy that bloomed in the dot com boom.
