We Are Decentralised

Please don't tune out when you see mention of the UK, this is intended for a global audience.

Lately my views are becoming increasingly hostile towards centralised government. I see failings, abuses, lies, scandals, profiteering, cronyism and corruption.  I see a complete inability to regulate for the common good.  It could be partly due to the present party in charge being considerably more disgusting than average, but I feel the problem is bigger than that.  The problem is systemic.  I therefore hope to challenge a traditional mindset that we've held onto for far too long.

If I only get the opportunity to convince you of one thing in this lifetime, I would like it to be this.

Decentralisation will be a cornerstone of future governance because our current top-down, centralised system does not represent us.  We have already decentralised money and we need to do the same for governance.  As such, I invite you to visit the following website:



It may be localised to the UK at the moment, but I'd like to see it adopted worldwide.  If the message contained within this site resonates with the way you perceive things, please get involved.  If possible, I'd like this to go viral.  If you have any suggestions about how to improve the site, please let me know.  I don't want to clutter the left column too much, but if there are any informative resources that absolutely need to be included, feel free to suggest them (No, I'm not putting dogecoin on there, feck off   ).
 
The reason I've placed emphasis on what the site does -not- represent is due to the fact that one person shouldn't have the sole say on how things should be done.  I don't have all the answers and wouldn't expect people to take me seriously if I claimed otherwise.  But I think we can all recognise that things are getting worse as a direct result of the career politicians pretending that they're trying to make things better, so I've chosen to highlight that aspect and explain how decentralisation will be a solution to represent everyone.

Please help me make this huge.  Please copy the website, adapt it to your local region and help spread this message.

It's an interesting concept and has it's truth, integrity and virtue to get every person to govern for himself without loose strings of condemning power of the political structure but nonetheless, too early for such concept to get executed, even in the UK for that matter.

Exactly what are you proposing here?

I'm not proposing an immediate change, I'd like to be clear on that.  The idea is to plant a thought in people's minds.  The thought that there is an alternative to the way we currently do things.  With the way things are heading here in the UK (and elsewhere in the world), the result is likely going to be mass disillusionment in a societal sense and mass failure in our economies.  At that point, we will all recognise a sudden need for change.  Without an alternative, the outcome is likely to be rioting, civil disobedience or even outright civil war.  But with an alternative, there's a chance we can achieve a calmer transition to a new form of governance that is less prone to corruption and represents everyone's views and opinions.

The reason most of us are here is because we see the problems that exist with fiat currency and we recognise that decentralised digital currencies are a great step to solving most of those problems.  What I'm proposing is that the same concept applies to governance and we should be ready when the time comes to make that change.

I've had some feedback that people want to lend their support, but feel as though there's no suggestion on how to proceed and no coordination on what should actually be done.  I had assumed that people might take the initiative and come up with their own ways of spreading the word (as no doubt someone can think of something I haven't even considered), but it seems we are in need of ideas.  If anyone has suggestions, I'm happy to receive them and pass them on.

Sadly I can't help with the technical side of things, as I'm no coder, but Bypass sounds like a great platform and certainly has potential if you can find the right developers.  If you do get it up and running, I'll be sure to add it to the list of resources on the site.  The only thing to bare in mind is that there will probably be many similar concepts, just as there are similar ideas to the We Are Decentralised site.  Movements like Occupy, for example, have a much larger support base and general public awareness than this project.  The same will likely apply to Bypass.  But at least we are generating new ideas on how we might proceed and eventually we'll all agree on the best way to go forward when the time comes.   The challenge is getting the message out there, though.
