I thought my old 5870's were hot, with the R9 290's  you dont need to turn on the heat here in the Northeast US/  WinterTime

I started mining LTC but the efficiency is not there with GPUs but it is still profitable. Then you have Alpha coming with Acics for them soon (June-July), will be like 60% cheaper than a mining rig and 1500% better on electricity.

Finding it much better getting a decent asic for BTC and exchanging them for LTC and trading them on BTC-E
