Hello everyone! I'm new to the Bitcoin Forum, but my hubby ny2cafuse is a veteran. He finally talked me into getting started, so here I am!  Cheesy

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Hi chessnut,

I can't remember all the specifics, but it's all in the post titled "Newbie Read Me". I know you must be a member for a certain period of time (like 4 hours), and have a certain number of posts before you can get out of "Newbie Jail", I think it's 10, but you may want to double check that.
