I donated 5$ worth of BTC to that paywall experiment thing.
I plan on building mining rigs to support college students and feed the homeless one day.

I just donated 25 cents to Chicago Sun Times, cause they are testing out micro payments. And I like to read the news. Even if most of it is crap!

Mid-adopter and probably (well, certainly) relatively large holder here. Almost the only thing I use Bitcoin for is for making donations(*) and I've donated many to a lot of different causes. Being able to help Wikileaks (and therefor my country) was, in fact, a driving force in my getting into it in the first place.
Bitcoin is vastly inferior to mainstream systems for buying trinkets of the kind I like and cash/paypal/visa/etc works fine for me.
Bitcoin is tedious to secure, and I often find myself worrying about exploits in the existing codebases (i.e., android+apps, java+multibit, etc) and worrying about on-line spending money wallets which are at least as often as not operated by incompetent boobs or cooks (or both.) In short, Bitcoin is simply not competitive as a solution for buying trinkets efficiently en-mass and I doubt that it ever will be. Furthermore, I believe that trying to make it so will destroy what's left of some of the original positive attributes.
* In the interest of full disclosure, I've recently I've started to cash some BTC out for fiat so I'm using Bitcoin to flat out capitalize on speculation in addition to using it for donations.

I donated 10 bitcoins to Wikileaks when the U.S. government pressured the credit card companies and Paypal into blacklisting them.

Seems as though everyone is asking for donations in the form of bitcoin, but how many people actually donate with Bitcoins???
Have you ever donatedwith bitcoin? What cause did you donate to?
PLEASE COMMENT AND MAKE A SELECTION FROM THE POLL ABOVE
I'm filing for my first BTCitcoin charity to raise awareness of BTCitcoin and also raising awareness how if the world works together we can provide massive immense relief towards the homeless people and also animals in need (hope to accept Dogecoin and devote those donations towards animal charity work) If you have any ideas as to how to raise awareness with a charity please feel free to let me know! I plan to succeed as well as Sean's Outpost Where my original idea and ambition to become a BTCitcoin entrepreneur / donator came from!! Always paying homage towards the outreach!

I have started to make donations with bitcoin recently, though only a small amount I'm assuming Humble Bundle counts to an extent? Paid for god knows how many already.

Donated with both bitcoin and fiat and will continue to do so. The world is a much better place if everyone with some extra change gave a little.
These are my thoughts exactly. If i had any to donate i would. The only donations i have been associated with was funds earned from my 50/50 bitcoin raffle. Which was not my money/bitcoin but is on my website and handled by me
