I'm not a programmer. I just found out this by reading the swisscex post today. I'm just giving the news to the forum. Have not Pengar gave the dev position to someone else? Who is in charge of the wallet now?

It is still Pengar as I know.

Thanks! I sent a PM to Pengar about this.

This coin is slowly dying. We need an active dev ASAP.

I said weeks ago that this coin needed an active developer(s). Other coins have developers who are making POS apps, Android wallets, and other things. This coin could have really capitalized on the 'regional coin' trend. The coin has no active developers nor does it have anything on social media.

Getting a coin on an exchange doesn't help. That's where alts go to die. The coin needs to serve a purpose and then value follows. Without an active developer(s), the coin is doomed.

Exactly! bitcoin is updated now and then by the Bitcoin Foundation while we don't even have a proper dev since Pengar said he does not have time to maintain eKrona. Now with this KGW exploit it would be nice to hear something from a proper developer or maintainer. I sent a PM to Pengar yesterday about the KGW bug and did not get a reply yet.

I not want to say this because I not have a much time and will slowly develop but keep in your mind that my idea is to make a few little games ( wowsuchponzi for example ) and online shop. I not want to mess with wallets for now. Maybe in the future some Android and Windows Phone wallet and other mobile apps.

You need to find someone to keep updating the official eKrona wallet software if Pengar not have a time for this.

Felt for a small amount because there is no trade volumes. At least we need to get back to cryptorush. Right now this coin has no value since cant be traded on any real exchange.

If community is so strong I guess it's time to make a move. I can't belive that people that was hashing night and day with 40+ Mh/s are keeping their ekronas as furniture.

The community ( myself included ) want a stronger Ekrona, but we don't have the know-how. Pengar doesn't have the time, we all know that -- he told us -- . So we need an other serious DEV. and stop looking back if Pengar is there to hold our hands.

is iit complicated to be a dev on a coin? i am a web developper

i really want this coin to survive!

We need someone to fix the wallet if this KGW bug thing is a problem for eKrona or at least show up and explain to us who can't code that everything is ok. That is not "holding the dev hand", that is concern for the time and electricity all of us spent into mining this coin!

The other coin I follow and support, 66 coin, was in a way being abandoned by the original dev just like eKrona. It was saved by one member of the community. His name is pikimunga and maybe you can talk to him to see if it is too difficult to maintain a cryptocoin. You can see here the 66 coin thread started by him: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=493987
The original thread was locked, but if you want to see how it started, this is the link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=433358.900.

Thank you and good luck!

This is very interesting question. Can you open a github url  https://github.com/ekrona/ekrona where is the source code and see it. If you understand the code and know what to do then it is not so complicated.

I am a C# developer ( web, desktop and mobile ) but not have a time to research how to deal with C++ code build for linux os. It is out of my scope. Maybe is not so hard to move the code in Visual Studio but I just not have time and for this now.

The KGW fix seems easy, just replace few line of code and rebuild the project.

Come and Mine with us on the most profitable pool for ekrona! - 4 Coins at the Same Time!

We are building the largest merged-mining-pool on the scene around ekrona, and we are currently mining 4 successful coins at the same time now, and our wallets are filling up with clinging cash - and we know you are simply going to LOVE IT Cheesy

To make this as easy for everyone to use - also for complete noobs, we do want them to join us in a real effort to go MainStream with ekrona and to introduce more people to merged-mining and crypto in general in Scandinavia - we have made this "P2EasyPool" - which will give you Ekrona, OrgCoin, PesetaCoin and BurBuCoin at the same time with the same power you normally use to mine just one coin - and that is just the start, more coins are added to our pool - and the reason for that is that we want to get into Guinness Book of Records at a later point.

http://the.very.big.pool.fyrstikken.tv:9329

The Pool is managed by X3noX and AngryAdmin - Blessed by me and introdused to all members and exchanges connected with #legitpools on Freenode - the Pool-Expenses is between minimum 1% and maximum 5% on this managed merged-pool, as we continue this quest for greatness, money, power & glory!

Pool-support you will always find on #fyrstikken @Freenode IRC

The Ekrona-Project is a long-therm project, and Team #Fyrstikken will offer support for this coin in development & marketing the next 1-5 years and follow up on it and expand the market - join us on #ekronacoin on Freenode if you want to share ideas on the fly - we like to chat.

Because Ekrona is 0 % Premined - it is a fair currency for everyone to get a fair share of. This is a serious currency for serious people, and our Mining-Pool is created to give each and every one of you the most value for the mining-power you provide in our team-effort to build the strongest currency for Scandinavia.

Hope to see many of you on this pool

Long Live Ekrona!

The idea is great, thank you for that but for now I think to skip it.
After 2hrs of mining for the last 40min i get 4 coins from your pool. For same period with same hash in forkpool i get 13.78 coins.

Your pool total hash is around 14MH. My miner work with 2.8MH = around 1/5 from total pool hash. 40krn / 5 = 8krn. But I receive 1krn per block.

Long Live Ekrona!

Thank you for input.

Hmm, when you switch from forkpool to the.very.big.pool it will take a few rounds for your mining-rig to accumulate the right shares on both pools, but the net payout should have no difference unless the net-hashrate spike up a littlebit - payouts happen directly to your own wallet as you mine them, and normally you will see a climbing number of coin-payouts per block as your forkpool-shares is ebbing out and your very.big.pool.shares increases, there will always be this issue when you switch pools, and 40 minutes is not enough time for the magic to happen.

Mine on it for a whole day - that will give you the big picture of how many coins you are getting. Smiley

This happens to prevent pool hopping, with p2pool based pools the payout takes a bit of time to reach to full capacity.
The moment you stop mining the payout will diminish to make up for the lower amount of coins in the beginning.

After stopping and while you're mining at the other pool you may have noticed getting mined ekrona funds from our pool, please check / confirm this if you have the time!

Thanks,

X3n0X

Does anyone know if the KGW exploit and the OpenSSL bug affect the eKrona wallet? These kind of issues are why we need an active developer.

Ok, the OP hasn't logged in since March 23rd, two weeks is a lifetime when it comes to releasing something people pay money for and expect an active developer.

how does the community feel about someone else taking over this coin?  The folks in #ekronacoin have been talking with a developer and it would only cost us .3 BTC to have the issues taken care of and switch this coin to Digishield.

If you guys trade @ www.cryptoaltex.com for KRN, I will donate 100% of the fee proceeds to help fixing the coin and after it is fixed I will continue to donate 25% of the fees gathered on KRN to further development projects.

I'm not saying I want to be the one to take it over, but I want to help the community

I'm willing to contribute .02 BTC if other community members are also willing to contribute to meet the .3 requirement.
