Profitability keeps changing from coin to coin. I believe coinwarz is your friend.

Mobo + processor = 13-15 K (cheapest sempron + asrock if im not mistaken)
Cards (280x)        = 23 - 24 K each
PSU                    = depends on number of cards
RAM (4 GB)          = 3 K (not the expensive one)

All depends how much research/effort/money you wana put in.

Best of luck.

Mobo                  = 2 PCIe 16x slot (around 7K) or 3 PCIe 16x slot (around 9K) - my suggestion is to get a board with 3-4 PCIe 1x slot and use risers
processor            = 1.5-2 K (AMD sempron)
Cards (280x)        = 24 K each
PSU                    = 750 watt Corsair for 2 cards = 7.5K, 1000watts corsair for 3 cards = 12K, 1200watts PSU for 4 cards = 16K (requires undervolting)
RAM (4 GB)          = 2-3 K

Your welcome. If your cards are placed too close to each other then yes you need. If its only 1 card then you don't need cooling. For cooling a table fan would do or something or the same sort.

A suitable temp is around 75 - 80 C, (although people stretch the limits). So do it accordingly.

About the cabinet : if your system is in a well protected and well ventilated place then you can even keep it in the open. Back in the day, when I did it, I just kept it open.

Hope that helps.
