P2POOLS are GREAT  Grin

Much better than those private pools who either don't pay, hold your earnings until you reach a certain amount,
and/or take forever to earn very tiny weeny credits per block.

I used to mine on P2POOL.ORG - until it became overrun with miners and some BIG HASHERS with 16Mhs scrypt
took over several pools, taking 90% of the payouts for themselves, and leaving "dust" for everyone else. Embarrassed

I found a new P2POOL site running latest p2pool v13.4 on a fast server with 32gb ram
it is NOT connect to p2pool.org or it's nodes for the simple reason that when you mine on
p2pool.org or any one of the other pools connected to each other as nodes, you have to split
payouts with everyone on ALL the nodes, and not just that site, but all the connected p2pools!

This new site is an attempt to provide an alternative to p2pool.org, and because is not connected to
any nodes, when the pools find blocks, miners in its pools should get much BIGGER payouts and
not have to split with 1000s of other miners as in the p2pool.org noded sites.

Because this site is brand new it needs MINERS!
it also needs testing and if any problems or issues are found, contact the site immediately so they can address it.

Honestly, if it weren't for the BIG hashers and overfilled pools on p2pool.org, I would continue to mine on their site.
But lacking the hashing power, I can barely get any payouts there anymore, and if I do, they are very very small ones.

currently, they have pools for: 42coin, bitcoin, cryptonium, digibyte, digitalcoin, dogecoin, elacoin, feathercoin,
giftcoin, litecoin, mooncoin, and RonPaulCoin + many more soon to come.

please checkout :    p2pool.neocities.org      and maybe get some BIG payouts Smiley

and do so before it gets taken over with BIG miners like p2pool.org did!

16Mhs is BIG for scrypt algos!
but not for SHA256 bitcoin algos where ASIC is necessary in the Ghs or Ths ranges.

I don't think chaincoin can be added. I believe it is only possible to CPU mine it because
it uses 8 different algos "chained" together and there's not to my knowledge a
cpu miner or gpu miner for this coin yet.  Embarrassed

unless someone mods cpu pooler "minerd", or gpu miners "cgminer" or "bfgminer"
I don't think it is possible to pool mine this coin.  sorry.

If you have 1Mhs SCRYPT hashrate or higher, please help get the SCRYPT coin pools
hashrates up, so pools can find blocks faster and miners in these pools get those BIG payouts Grin

hmmm.  Thank you for the miner info!

I didn't know that.  But know I do!

I thought it was only mineable setting gen=1 in the .conf file!  LoL.

I'll pass the miner info along to the *** p2pool.neocities.org ***  site and request they add it.

I see that they just added a new coin called iCoin....

maybe they can add chaincoin!  Let's see Smiley

That would be awesome!  Chaincoin seems like a really good coin, 8 algos and all!

I'm downloading chaincoin wallet & miner too now!  Thanks again Cheesy

bad news.... chaincoin was removed  Sad

apparently, it uses bitcoin wallet version 6.0
and does not work properly with P2POOL,
which requires a minimum of bitcoin wallet verson 6.4+

maybe if the chaincoin developers updated their wallet to be
based off the newer bitcoin wallet version, then maybe it will play nice with p2pool.

p2pool site:          p2pool.neocities.org

added ASR astrocoin after removing chaincoin

astrocoin specs:

- 3 min. Block Time
- Difficulty Retarget Every Day
- 1 Coin Reward Per Block, halves every 70K Blocks
- Scheduled to Produce 210,000 Total Astrocoins (1% of total Bitcoins)

looks like a good coin, because not many will be minted...
i cant belive people like that DOGE coin, block rewards of 450K coins - that's ridiculous!
i guess some people love BIG numbers, lol!
