It seems that no one CPU coin is going to take over. QRK is obviously number 1, but due to the ever reducing rewards, the incentive to mine is pretty low.

Are you serious? Haven't you noticed the HUGE increase in value of Dimecoin? over +50% increase every day.

-Dimetime-
Yes I am,
Dimecoin is just about my least favourite coin. Billions of coins, near worthless and a dev that premined 37 billion of them so he could give them away by the thousand all day everyday, he'll still have billions left over though, there are a lot of thousands in a billion.

Ducats sounds good, but I am not sure.

I have wasted a lot of time to mine C-note with so high difficulty, and it is rubbish now.

agreed, cnote was a waste of time

Difficulty is low now... Dont worry... we are going palces with c-note...
March 1st, you will be able to buy GPU mining credits with c-note

ZurCoin. (It's even easier to CPU mine than Fairbrix.) You are guaranteed to find a block. Or many, many blocks. 'Setgenerate true' and watch the lulz ensue.

Supply and demand. That's why.

A 'good' CPU coin is an oxymoron.

Research Support Coin is CPU only and the "mining" is actually useful: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=566608.0

Of coins that have any buyers, Ducats is probably the easiest to mine, but don't hold your breath thinking it will make you rich. All these coins, including Ducats, have very low volume and weak blockchains.

This is the best thread on CPU coins:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=379601.0;all

Reviving and updating the software of an ancient altcoin, like Liquidcoin or Tenebrix, whilst CPU mining it to build a sizable stash and then promoting it, would likely make one more money than mining toy coins.

Few noobs were around during the great BBQCoin revival. BQC had been a zombie coin for a very long time, with very low difficulty that made it easy to CPU mine. I and a few others quietly mined it month after month, fattening out wallets with little more than 1 CPU core. Then it was revived and some of us made fortunes overnight.
