Hey, I'm new to this site and also to cryptocurrency.

I just wondered if there is a list of planned Altcoins launching in the next months.
Many of the other coins have been around for long and difficulty is high

So basically I'm looking for an Alt-Altcoin with low difficulty, as my hardware isn't best anymore (if it ever has been).

I know there is a list of all currently existing Altcoins here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=134179.0

But is there list of future Altcoins?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks in advance ;-)

I am interested in this too. I'd say there'll be a lot of POS NXT clones popping up now. I'm planning one myself. Details released soon. It's an exciting time! POW space seems a little old fashioned and tired now.

Not to sure if there is a list but one that interests me is Zerocoin, originally designed to be a extension of Bitcoin but have decided to create their own currency, coming out in May 2014 I believe.

Just keep an eye on the announcements [ANN] in the alternative currency section of this site. Coins are usually pre-announced on there first and they probably come out daily.

This is both good and bad. Too many new cryptocurrencies will just confuse the general public and lead to low levels of adoption.
On the other hand, innovation is always good for this sector. Maybe we have yet to see what will become the de facto cryptocurrency of the digital age.
Maybe it won't be bitcoin at all like many assume. Maybe it'll be some other cryptocurrency which manages to avoid the bad PR from the mainstream media.
In my mind, the breakthrough will come when a government starts accepting BTC (or whatever alternative) to pay taxes. Then we will see it really take off (I mean use wise, not necessarily price wise in comparison to paper fiat currencies)

Anyway, as someone put it before in this thread, fascinating times indeed.
