SMOS atitweak fan settings wont stick

Hi All

 Running 4x7850 with SMOS in a milk crate.

 Got the cards tweaked to 1010mhz and pushing 1400mh/s for a couple days solid, but I'm having trouble getting atitweak -f to stick.

 I can tell it 100 and it ramps right up to 100, but drops right off, back to card specific settings. I also tried
 
 

Code:

sudo atitweak -f 100

and get the same burst and immediate resumption of previous speeds.

 any ideas?
 does ""auto-fan" : true," in my config override this?
