You guys should not pay for this group buy without Bitmain's confirmation. If he is buying the S1 from sushi's group buy, either me or sushi will confirm it, but he is not (for the moment).

I am not denouncing his group buy, I am just here to tell anyone that any group buys without manufacture's confirmation, people should not participate.

jleefly: once you get confirmed by bitmain people will participate your group buy.

Well I'm out.
The only reason I was in was because of the $1700US price that was quoted in the original post but after several inquiries and some PM's it turns out it isn't...shall I say...that simple.

It amazes me that for how many companies there seems to be doing this and the dollar amounts that are involved that there doesn't seem to be a single 'real' US retailer that I can make a purchase using a good ol fashioned credit card.

Got my tracking number. It scheduled to arrive Monday. I will keep everyone posted.

I think he means korea (geographically).

The unit didn't come with a PSU? What PSU should I get? Links to one I could purchase through amazon or newegg would be nice.

This is pretty much my first post here but I've been reading the forums for a while. Was looking for something to start mining and the antminers s1 and avalons were pretty much the only things available without waiting a few months for delivery. Sushi closed his group buy so I bought from johnny from in this thread. People freak about all these sites being scam sites so I didn't just run off and buy from any person posting. Johnny allowed purchase via paypal so I figure I was protected. He also had links to amazon and ebay where he was selling and well rated. Since johnny doesn't have a high post count here I thought I'd put up a a post saying I'm a customer who actually got his unit.

I'm currently getting an average 179.29 GH/s. Been running for about 12 hours now with no problems. The thing is a lot louder than I thought. The fan sounds like a jet engine.

Only thing that sucks is that since I went through paypal I paid 1800 for the unit and bitmain is now selling it for 1.45 btc.

The unit I have is nice and quite it constantly averages about 180 GH. I am a very happy customer and would buy from again. I bought a wi-fi ant. and set that up. Works great. Better then the avalon clone I bought from another seller on this forum.
