None of them are mineable coins and I've heard they're all centralized like banks with the ability to modify their currency at any time  Huh

I obviously don't understand these 3 too well. But they have a high market cap and I want to.

Can someone unconvince me?

Mastercoin Founder here.

I don't believe that any of them are outright scams, including several more you didn't mention. They are all very high-risk (or high reward) investments though. There are a lot of different approaches being tried, but probably only a couple of them will take hold. Investors who pick the right one(s) should be quite wealthy someday.

If the coin is closed source I would be skeptical. Even open source with closed source components is very shady for a supposed decentralized cryptocurrency.

XRP is controlled by CEOs.

XRP is bullshit

Mastercoin is not very popular, very little was created. Built ontop of bitcoin.

Nxt has an army behind it, but there is skepticism about distribution.

XCP is a lot like mastercoin, built on bitcoin. You essentially destroy btc to create xcp. Different type of distribution

I don't believe they are scams. Unequal distribution is what people claim are problems with them, but there is still the opportunity to invest and make some money.
