My history with free products, wallets is not good, so I'm somewhat worried about using coinomi , any reviews on coinomi would be appreciated.

I had trouble with it in the past with BTX. Almost lost the original coins from the timestamp (second airdrop). For some reason one of the BTX addresses made it freak out. I contacted devs of BTX and they told me no issues. Well I had an issue. Coinomi has a recovery tool on their website to get private addresses from a seed, but for BTX it was using the wrong derivation path. I literally just went through each derivation incrementing by one until I got results that matched my BTX addresses. Took a while but I was able to recover my coins using the Electrum wallet the devs made for claiming the timestamp coins and send them to the core wallet and I have never used Coinomi again for any coin. Use it at your own risk.

If you're planning to switch then I will not recommend you Electrum at the moment as you cannot send BTX to an old address. Unless you're going to store BTX till each and every Online store/exchange is using BTX.
