Hi,

I have several pieces of networking equipment that I'd like to try and sell for BTC (or LTC) - this is the reason I finally created an account on here, in case anyone is wondering why I am new.  I would like for whomever is interested in this buy to use a third party escrow to minimize risk to both parties in this transaction.

I have:

several 48 port 10/100 megabit HP Procurve switches
several 48 port gigabit PoE HP Procurve switches - each switch has four 10-gigabit ports. (HP 3500-48G-PoE yl Switch (J8693A)
a E5400 HP Procurve chassis (with all 6 bays filled with gigabit modules) so it has 144 ports of gigabit connectivity.
a 24-port Dell PowerConnect 5424 gigabit switch
and a 48-port Dell PowerConnect 5448 switch.
I also have some older Cisco equipment for anyone studying for their CCIE - I can get a full list of the exact models if anyone is interested, but it is older stuff that would likely only be useful for someone studying for their high level Cisco certs.

Pictures of all of the equipment is available upon request.  I am located in Canada, so these items would have to cross the border if purchased by someone in the US.  If anyone is interested in any of this gear, please make an offer or let me know what you'd like to see pictures of in particular and I can upload some pics.  All of the gear is in excellent shape and has only been used in HVAC controlled datacenter environments previously.

Thanks everyone, hope you have all had a good weekend!

What's shipping like to the US?

I'd like pictures of anything Cisco.

I will take pictures of the cisco gear - i warn you, it isn't very expensive stuff, but it's lots of the stuff that you'd want to set up a nice test lab.
The HP stuff would be ideal for anybody who runs a small business or does any kind of consulting to small businesses (even buying the HP stuff second hand through a used equipment vendor would run you $3 - $3.5k

Is there any particular Cisco stuff you're looking for in particular?
off the top of my head, this is a 2901 router (or possibly a slightly earlier version) and a 800-series router, and one of the old Cisco PIX firewalls.  I will get some pictures taken in the morning and posted up to this thread.

And yes, escrow would be a necessity for the transaction to go through.

Where in the US would you want me to check for a shipping quote to?  Usually when I ship stuff on ebay single switches rarely cost more than $50 to ship to the US regardless of destination as long as you're OK with the 4-day tracked shipping.  Overnight stuff usually goes closer to $125.

Thanks guys! I'll get the pics up first thing tomorrow.

Hi guys,

Sorry for taking a bit longer to get these posted than I thought.

There's a Cisco ME3400 switch and a 2600 series router.  There is also a PIX firewall that I didn't get a chance to snap a pic of.

Well i would take a 2621xm with modules and a 2950 switch if you have it. Sent the procurve stuff off to a buddy, wants to know what you're asking for on the servers.

For the servers?  Not sure what you mean, there weren't any servers in my list.

The switch chassis is one of the ones that can take any 6 HP modules, it's currently loaded with all gigabit modules so it's 144 ports.  I will get and post the exact model numbers of all of the ProCurve stuff.

I am taking offers and will be comparing them to equivilent prices i could get for the gear on ebay.  BTC will however get a pretty good discount on those prices considering it would save me the time/effort of having to convert USD -> BTC.

hey alan, make me an offer.

those 3500yl-j8643a's are currently selling on ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/ctg/HP-ProCurve-J8693A-ABA-48-Ports-Rack-Mountable-Switch-Managed-/74075904
They range in price from $2500 for new, to $1,599 for used ones.  (there are 7 used ones on there)

I would be willing to take a lower price if you paid me in btc, as otherwise i'll have to go through the hassle of converting usd -> btc once I list them on ebay.

I will snap some pics and upload of the two 3500yl's I have.

On the off chance that anyone here is interested in this stuff and might just be hesitant to buy it from me because I'm still a relative forum newbie...

I put one of the 3500yl-48-POE switches up on Ebay recently, so it could be purchased with paypal...

thanks all!

Rawted, I have the one switch up on ebay right now for $999 w/ a higher buy-it-now price..  and I've gotten a few messages about it but no bids yet.
I would let them all go for 5 BTC though (the three 3500yls and the 96 port gigabit switch too)
