Don't even know where to start with this....

don't want to be rude but I suggest before asking questions or laying down any money you spend a little time doing research and reading around the subject.

You should know the answer to questions like this by investing a little of your time in the thing you want to invest your money in.

no.
sha-256 only.
that's why the call it ASIC = Application SPECIFIC Integrated Circuit!!!
that word Specific means that it can do only one thing and one thing only! Sha-256!

Nothing is impossible. Though the degree of difficulty is high, it is not impossible. Graphics cards are used as open hardware for any encryption. We need to convert SHA256 to Scrypt and fed it to ASIC. I know this sound Friction but ....... A GPU and several ASICs plug in USB  and a win win condition. Application comes after Concept. I just expressed my Concept.

Thanks.

Sounds totally like friction. Lol.

No offense kid, but you ought to do your homework before you come out with statements like yours.
And try not to necro a 1 month old thread next time.

like clockwork the mining community goes from being open and friendly and helpful to a bunch of condescending assholes. bravo.

to the folks that take a question here and use it to insult an OP, way to go. i put it to you, though, that if you've deduced that a question is too stupid to be asked here, than you are beyond stupid to take time out of your day to offer a reply. look up "opportunity cost" and learn a bit.

cliff's notes - that massive brainpan of yours would surely be better suited solving problems for money rather than creating problems for drama and intellectual vanity. so, do some research on what your time is worth and how you decide to spend that time. You'll find that the answer is C) just a complete jerkoff.

(hope I won't be too condescending or too insulting  Grin).
The answer is no it isn't possible.
You can't convert scrypt to sha256 nor the inverse, and even if it was possible it would be too slow.
They are (to keep things simple) very complicated mathematical function which are not invertible and are totally different.

This is clearly science-friction  Grin
(btw, what happened to friction coin ?)

Ok - just want to confirm this -- you were able to mine a Scrypt coin with a 180Gh/s Antminer @ 9.8mh/s?

Your custom software would be worth quite a bit.  Do you realize how many of these units are just hanging around?

This sounds very suspect to me.
