Not sure how they produce their stats, probably based on highest recent sale? Perhaps someone from eBay bought a BTC for $1800, wouldn't surprise me Wink

Notice how the low is $672.

I think its just when people sell locally, you get the odd crazy price - the average price would be more useful.

I would love to use Localbtc to sell some bitcoins, but it's a shame no one is close enough to me. I would probably spend most of the money I make just on gas to meet people
