I figured I would post here and see if anyone from Pennsylvania (central) is interested in getting together for a meet up sometime.
I have talked to a guy on localbitcoins who is in State College, and has an interest in a meet up. So that makes 2 people. I also have a buddy who would probably come up form maryland as well.

I live about an hour north of Harrisburg in Selinsgrove, I would be willing to plan the meet up if we are able to do it somewhere within a half hour drive (maybe an hour up to williamsport if there's more interest there).

I am not just looking for bitcoiners but people interested in knowing more about bitcoin as well.

Times and dates are all up to the schedules everyone has.

Hopefully we can get something going.

Thanks everyone

cool, thanks for the info hitsnorth. not sure if that's a bit too far south for me though as it's about 2 hours away.

do you know how many people attend this meetup?

I too would be interested in a meetup in the Central PA area.

My vote for a Central PA meetup location would be State College.  This is as central as you get in our state.  State College is easy to travel to and would cover much of the rural part of our state.

I am about an hour away from State College.  If we contacted a restaurant like Denny's or Perkins we could probably meet there.  I wouldn't expect more than 20 for the first meeting.

Since we may have people travelling we may want to discuses a weekend date/time.  I would be willing to chip in a few mBTC towards the meetup.com monthy fee.  Late February meeting anyone?

@Michael_Poland - Great to hear another one within a short drive of myself!

@genx_walt. I agree, state college is the most central location in our state and is very easy to get to. I am about an hour east of state college myself. I think a dennys would be a good place as long as we try to warn them before hand that we are coming, i think they can have the space.

I agree as well that a weekend meeting (saturday afternoon?) would be the best. And i could also chip in a few bucks towards a meetup account fee.

Late feburary sounds good to me. we could do either the 22, or we could do march 1 (the weekend after that).
