The SF Bitcoin Social Meetup has chosen a day for our first meetup. It's going to be Wednesday, September 21st, probably somewhere in the Mission District. We have confirmed attendees from ExchB and TradeHill! Check it out at http://www.meetup.com/San-Francisco-Bitcoin-Social/

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Next time you should consider a more legitimate destination, like Pattaya

Or the fabled second gloryhole at the Meze Grill.

You will never find parking anywhere near Kilowatt on 16th tonight at 7. I'm going to try to go but I don't have high hopes for success at parking in that neighborhood.

If you can't find street parking, I think there's a garage at 19th and Mission.

We ended up moving from Kilowatt to Noisebridge (a hacker space). Future meetups will hopefully start off at NB, and then, if people want, move to a bar from there.
