2x 3.4GHz CPU Cores
512MB DDR3 RAM
1000MB Bandwidth
50GB HDD Space

How much do you estimate it will make per month? Generating money, not profitable money.

If its negative, how do you know how much I'm spending.

Would I need to expand RAM?

And do you know how much for LiteCoin?

Nothing!
Zero!
0!
You can't earn anything with that.
Not btc, not ltc, nothing!
You will only spend electricity for nothing.
Even o you don't pay electricity you can't earn anything.

I'm making an assumption as to what you're paying for your VPS based on what I pay for my VPS with semi-similar specifications.

Mining litecoin? 6.72 $/month.

Take a look see here for bitcoin:

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison

--> You might get like 50 MH/s, but most likely only see something like 10 MH/s

-----> http://www.alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator  says you'll earn like $0.06 a month.

And here for Litecoin:

https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison

--> You might get like 93 kH/s,

-----> http://litecoinminingcalculator.com/index.php?khs=90&diff=3998.22171415&cdiff=3998.22171415&fee=0  says you might get like 0.69 LTC a month.

More RAM isn't going to help.  If you want to mine LTC (Scrypt coins) you need AMD GPU's.  If you want to mine BTC you're going to need ASICs.
