Hi kids!

As I was riding the 149 through the City the other day, the Tears For Fears song "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" started playing in my headphones. It was a sunny day, and I thought 'one day we'll have our own skyscraper here'. That might be decades away, but maybe we could have a party at least?

So the idea I had was to have a party in January next year. I thought it would be cool if we could all pay for it now(-ish) in BTC and whatever happens with the price will set the budget for the party. Let's say 0.1 BTC per person+date. If it does another 50x we can rent a top floor skyscraper venue and have an extravagant open bar thing, and if the price plummets we'll have pints in a shitty bar in Shoreditch instead.

It's just an idea, whaddaya think?

Haha that's an interesting concept. Perhaps 0.1 BTC per person will get us a party on Virgin Galactic, though that might seem more likely for 2016. Who knows eh?

This was something I was discussing the other day actually with another trader, although I was more talking of sponsoring such an event as by that time my UK exchange will be in full swing and have been operational for several months. The sponsorship would cover the venue costs although to be worth it from a business perspective you'd need some high profile guests attending to give it prestige.

That sounds like a smart move financially, but there are some obvious advantages to making it a private (and privately funded) party. Basically: we can do what we want, and invite whomever we want Smiley

My first thought was to make it a 10th anniversary party in 2019. Pay 0.01 BTC now, party like this in 5 years time.
