can be MetisCoin be next VertCoin which went up 10x in last days ?

it has a potential:

30000+ miners
diff is high

we need better marketing for coin and everything is possible

I still cannot understand why the exchange rate is so low given that there are increasing number of miners. Although exchange site like poloniex is small, the trading amount is relatively high (thousands of coins for trading)...
This is what calls dumping.

We are still in the stage where those earlier miners who got 5k-20k are dumping. This coin only has 15 days, give it time, the important numbers to put in mind are that only 28800 coins are mined per day, network has 11.02gHashes/s and difficulty is 121668 and still rising Wink

second phase could be very nice, if there hits cryptsy then maybe not like VTC go 20x times, but we can expect 0.002-0.003 BTC.
and im still buying this lottery tickets under 0.0005, coz im afraid i miss opportunity like missed VTC, o bought only 212 VTC @ 0.25 BTC

but anynone has any good news for this coin? there so quiet. why dev sleeping? maybe they forgot this coin ?

Using an r9 280x, I'm getting around 8631 kh/s . I have to say that although the gpu usage is 99% it doesn't seems to stress the gpu as much as dogecoin mining for example. The card stays at a cool 62c using a fan speed of 42% (Sapphire).

Dogecoin is scrypt based which uses a good bit more resources than these hash algorithms.
Scrypt is about as intense you can get while still being able to run on a GPU.

Sadly the performance does drop to 100 after 30mins. Any one else have that issue?

It's a known issue.  You're still hashing at full speed but the hash meter overflowed back to zero.  A fix is in the pipeline.

Alright thanks, I thought it might be a visual bug especially after looking at my stats on ypool.

This bug is now fixed. Build 5 is released fixing this and other small bugs.

Edit: Forgot the usual download links:

Kaspersky found    Trojan.Win64.BitMin.i

Wow! Kaspersky identified it as being a bitcoin miner! Good job Kaspersky!

AV software do not like miners because people tend to bundle them inside viruses and trojans in order to create mining botnets.

If you are still suspicious, you can download the source and compile it yourself!

Some devices take a long time to compile the opencl code the first time. Might take 20 minutes on old machines... just wait a bit...

20 minutes? it was there idling for over 2 hours Smiley
is this compiling cpu intensive? because i was cpu mining at the same time  Grin

EDIT: i guess it was, because now it went to next stage.
EDIT2: it crashes the display driver. guess i'll have to stick to cpu.

I have a problem with the GPU miner.. Everything initializes as it should and it starts mining, GPU load goes to 100% but drops to 0% after about 3-5 sec. It than spikes every now and then to 100% but drops after a couple of milli seconds. After about 2-4 minutes it starts mining at 100% GPU again, but stops after a little while. Looks like it stops every time I get one share, or I recieve new block data. Anyone else who has this problem?

I'm running Gainward Phantom 660ti

Thanks!

I found the problem. You can't run GPU miner and CPU miner at the same time.

Gainward Phantom 660ti - 815k/hash

Intel I7 3770k @4.4ghz - 1050 k/hash

Ill stick to CPU mining I guess!

AMD cards are so much better for mining!

When i did the math it was way more profitable to just mine middlecoin or hashcows than it is to gpu mine this coin.  If you're mining to hold, might as well mine on middle coin then buy MTC with that.

Edit my math was, for 3 x r9 280x i would get 28 MTC, at the time that was 0.0008 BTC per day. its probably even lower now since rate has gone down more.  With the same cards i get 0.03 BTC / day. makes no sense to GPU mine this coin currently.
