first time I joined bitcointalk, I didn't even care about ranks and my first post was made weeks after I registered
and even before signing up, for almost a year I spent time browsing the forum just reading everything
at that time I was familiarizing myself with bitcoin and getting information about micro earning faucets
the first easiest one time faucet I claimed was faucet.bitcoin.st (site has changed now) for 0.0015 BTC
my advice to you, read... learn...discuss... explore... and do all other things, stop thinking on how to rank up fast
