1- Do search byself
2- Get advices but do not fall the words
3- Analyze or read reports alike projects' old days for new and promising project that may achieve great points as like follower projects
4- NEVER BE fanboy or NEVER HEAR fanboys' thoughts
5- You can invest so many useless project or 1 true project according to your effort. Then never forget TIME is priceless then use it for true and exact project(s). Loosing time for waste projects or gaining time for true one.

I think you should research the coins you want to invest ,those coins that has a potential to grow but don't forget to include bitcoin and ethereum on your list. Always invest at your owm risk.

If you look for a better crypto that is a bitcoin,bitcoinCash,and ethereum. They are at the top when you look at their market cap demand and value.But there are many coins you can choose that has a potential to grow. You should do a research by your own so  that you can choose coins to invest by yourself to avoid blaming others because we all know that investing in crypto are very risk and you should take the risk.
