Hi Paul,

Give us more than a day advanced warning next time Smiley

I'm in a different part of Thailand, can't wing it to Phuket by tomorrow lol. Have a good time anyway, and if you could give 7-days notice of next meet-up, I'll definitely try and make it.

Fair enough. Only decided yesterday, but depending on numbers, will make it a regular event.

Cheers,

Paul.

Great to see BTC happening in Thailand.

Would love to visit Phuket for a meet-up, little bit too far for me.  Unfortunately, Air Asia has stopped the service UBP/HKT.

I am in Ubon Ratchathani.

Any interest up this way? Would be nice to meet.

I'm in Chiang Mai. We seem as far spread apart as possible in Thailand, lol. Least we exist though.

Thanks for the news. Seems we have bitcoiners in every "phaak" in Thailand. Let us know how it goes. I might do one in Chiang Mai later this year.

Are you all aware of the BTC Facebook Thailand page - https://www.facebook.com/BitCoinThailand

I think a guy named frankiebishop is the man in Chiang Mai.

I read and comment occasionally.  It is good to know there are others around with an interest in BTC.

Unfortuantely, we are spread all over the place like a mad woman's wardrobe.

Anyone travelling and wanting to use BTC?

There is a debit card which can be used anywhere in the world anonymously available, link below.

I registered a few days ago, will possibly use for my next trip later this year.

Not sure if good value or not, will research more when needed.

I was actually debating this in another thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=390230.new;topicseen#new

Could well be legit, but its very expensive for what it is, and $200 withdrawal limit a day. Their advice if you want to withdraw more - buy more cards. Christ, they are expensive enough in the first place.

Hi all,

we had a meet up on Wednesday.   3 people turned up, with 2 others saying they couldn't make it.

Next meeting Thursday evening at or near Surin beach.   Will post a message soon as we have selected a venue.

Ouch, sounds like limited interest in Phuket at the moment. Give it time Smiley

Not too bad, given relatively little marketing of the event beforehand.
