Looking to build GPU miner

Hi guys 

Looking to get into the mining game and need suggestions as to what parts are recommended. Fairly new to this whole scene and have been researching the forums on my own for a couple hours but just gave me a big headache. I'd really appreciate if you guys can recommend me some the parts I need.  I have a budget of 2k and wanting to build a rig with the most cost efficient parts and also price/performance for gpu.    Any tips for all the essentials such as motherboard, ram, gpu, OS, etc would be great (also what brand is best). PS. I also plan to add more gpus or w/e to my build in the future past the 2k budget price point. Thanks for any advice in advance!
