Well theoretically NO since pools centralize a coin and this is bad for coins because of the 51% attack...Thats why it is quite stupid to see pools coming out the same day with the coin.

Even satoshi has warned about pools...

Practically its a good thing that people with small machines can also mine... But there must be at least more than 1 pools...
