Well folks, I've had a good nights rest and have had some time to reflect on the situation.
DopeCoin is not over, this is just the beginning!
(some of you forum guys said some pretty rude and unnecessary things, shame on you)
A very good text. Kudos.
What I like is that you see your role in this, and you take responsibility. We now understand much better what happened. Transparency rules!
Technical failures seems to happen quite often. Several coins in the past days have shown that a coin without an expert foundation can crash and sink. Perhaps that's good. If your coin failed, it wasn't fit for life. Next version then.
The ugly people are difficult to get used to, for me too. Since I have entered the cryptocurrency scene, I have seen so much anger hatred resentment envy and ugliness. At the beginning, I thought the useless waste of electricity is the worst aspect, but no - it's the emotional childishness of some of the little devils here.
It's a bit hard to accept that this species also contains such awful haters. They are infecting every discussion with their fear based ideology. And there is little defense against them. In the end, it's only a tiny minority who spreads this poison, but it quickly infects milder souls, too. There have been discussions in /meta about it, but they were just ridiculed.
Strange aspect of this otherwise so fascinating subculture. So far I have not yet ignored anyone, but I guess, I will soon start to do that.
And your runaway coin - what a cool effect, really.
I was there that night, too.
It was actually a lot of fun in the end,
on IRC we started throwing our now
useless coins at each other.
It really became a gift economy :-)
Thanks for your open words.
And good luck for next time!
