I'm totally new to this and I'm almost positive my question has been answered elsewhere, but when it comes to BTC, there's so much information scattered about the internet it seems impossible to find what I'm looking for. So all apologies.

Anyway, I have a bank account with Bank of America and I'm looking for the cheapest way to acquire bitcoins. Thank you.

Bank of American has a quick and easy p2p transfer capablity.

Find a TRUSTED user  (Ask around) who also has Bank of America and is currently looking to sell bitcoin.

You will want a trusted user as you will be asked to send your funds first as bitcoin is not reversible.  Upon receipt of your funds (usually instant) the trusted use should send virtual currency instantly.

The trusted user is also taking a risk as you may not be who you say you are or you could possibly not own the account and after the trusted user sends you the bitcoin there is a possibility that your transaction could be reversed.

Good luck.
