A few days a ago, I ordered 3 bi-fury ASICs and a USB hub from this company. They promptly took my Bitcoin payment, but since then they have not confirmed my order, confirmed receipt of my payment or replied to emails that I have sent them asking for confirmation of my order.

I am suspecting that I have been scammed for $400 worth of the good stuff... I hope I am wrong and they are just slow to respond.

Does anyone on here have any experience of dealing with this company?

My bad - I should learn to be more patient!  Embarrassed

I have now heard from the company who say "We will be shipping this out immediately, no need to worry. Unfortunately it was a holiday over the weekend with Martin Luther King Jr. Day and now this pesky Blizzard has set in on New York. We will keep you updated but hopefully the post office will open today and we will be able to get your order out."

I will keep you all updated as to the progress of this order and the quality of the products when I receive them. The price being charged is certainly far lower than I have seen advertised elsewhere and will whole-heartedly recommend this company if all goes to plan.

I apologise unreservedly to the company for any wrong aspersions I may have made in my original post, which I have attempted to delete without success. (maybe a moderator can help with this please?)

I took the liberty to email to cryptostore.io since I feel this site is legit due to openness on biitcointalk.

I have recently found a US Outlet claiming to sell your BiFury 5GHs miners for less than half the price you are charging.

   Contact Us: +1-917-336-2976 || Support@BiFuryMiners.com

First of all I would like to know if they are legit.

Secondly why such a price difference?

Third could you post something about it in the bitcointalk forum.

And finally, how would I go about being your Canadian distributor?

 Thanks

and I just got a reply from http://crtyptostore.io

Hello
the site bifuryminers.com is obvious scam.
We don't have any official distributor at US.
To be honest there is not enough miners in stock to look for
distributors, (sth about ~350 miners left).
Regards

It was the price that set off my alarm bells already at half they just lowered their prices again to 97 USD - DO NOT BUY FROM THE SITE BIFURYMINER.COM

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=429153.msg4691920#msg4691920

I feel like a bit of an idiot but I saw their products up for what seemed like an unreasonable price but gave them a shot after actually reaching someone on the phone. However, since then, they have disappeared and refuse to answer calls or respond to emails. Doing a bit of digging, they seem to be based out of Australia and essentially just spammed all the forums. Fortunately, it was a small order but nevertheless, I thought I should warn the community (and hopefully get something to show up on Google when someone else looks them up)! Anyways, lesson learned.

Hmm... this is not looking good, is it?  Embarrassed

I originally posted this as I was a little concerned about the delay in confirming my order, yet the reply I received from 'John' seemed to explain the delay.

I have since received an 'Order Completed' confirmation from them, indicating that they have shipped my order of 3 x Bi_Fury ASICs + USB3.0 hub for $400.

So, assuming that this is a scam, what can I (and other people who have ordered from this company) do to recover the bitcoins that were fraudulently taken. There must be some legal recourse for this...? If not, anyone could just set up a website and take money from people under false pretences...

Do we have any 'legal-eagles' on this forum who could advise us on this?

If it is a scam, we should get this illegal website shut down - there must be laws preventing this?

If my goods turn up, then I will obviously post an update!

I have now posted an abuse report to http://privacyprotect.org/#request_domain_owner_contact_info

Hopefully, we can get the legal authorities to arrest these criminals and recover our funds (not holding my breath though)

All we can do is keep posting warnings about these crooks... I am also filing a report with the Cyber Crime Enforcement people - they will be able to track them down and hopefully get our money back... <fingers crossed>
