Are Giveaway's the New Mining? Is mining a fair way of distribution compared to giveaways? or are both needed!

The giveaway is a way of promoting the coin and making it more attractive to newcomers.

Hopefully we'll see a new Bitcoin giveaway soon. I'd love it if someone would promote that coin by maybe giving out 100 coins per user. Unfortunately, it only seems to be the new coins that do these giveaways. Sad

The giveaway is a way of promoting the coin and making it more attractive to newcomers.

It's more the give away are an excuse for the Dev to premine the coin.
If they coin was pre-mined then the give away also lower the coin value since all the person is going to do is dump them at first chance.
