Merit Farming by some users

Hi I am new to the bitcoin forum and I am happy to join such an awesome community.
I see that the new rule for merit system but i find some user are misusing it and gaining some merit.
for example I see that some user like

has got 50 merits for a normal post.Is it ok to report something like this ?

Yeah and you chose exactly that name 
You can report on any case like that it's up to you. It easily can be multiple accounts sharing or just a person didn't know how the new system works yet and he sent all to one person, merits sent a week after the merit system had been announced.

I believe there is a chance he may be talking about the user who received the 50 merits.

He received merits, he/she had no saying in receiving merits. like when I received 30 merits from mexxer-2.

Good catch with your alt mate. Merits are came to regulate the post quality and stop seemless rank up of spammers but nowadays it does not like that. Everyone wants to grab more merits because that these kind merit trade has been taken part.
These kind of merit trades will affect the reputation of the forum and spoil the people mindset who are looking to grab the merits with the good quality posts.
