CoinTerra will give an extra mining rig "First Batch order for one TerraMiner IV 2TH Bitcoin miner you will receive your miner in January and you will also receive a TerraMiner IV 2TH Bitcoin miner in March"

Dear CoinTerra customer,

As a First Batch customer with an order for one or more TerraMiners initially scheduled for a late-December delivery we are reaching out to you since you are one of the remaining customers that we have been unsuccessful in contacting by telephone via the number associated with your cointerra.com account.

We are pleased to say that we are now very close to manufacturing our first units, but if you have been following our engineering updates on our website you may be aware that our late-December orders have slipped into the New Year.

Your order will enter manufacturing shortly, and will be one of the very first TerraMiners to leave our production facility - we currently expect your order to ship in the first two weeks of January.

As a thank you for being an early customer and supporting us as we worked to bring the TerraMiner to market, for each TerraMiner that you have ordered in the First Batch we would also like to send you an additional TerraMiner of equal hash rate from our March batch free of charge (including free shipping.)  This means that if you have a First Batch order for one TerraMiner IV 2TH Bitcoin miner you will receive your miner in January and you will also receive a TerraMiner IV 2TH Bitcoin miner in March.
We will send a confirmation of your order, updated to include the additional free of charge TerraMiner within 24 hours.  However, if you would prefer to receive a full refund of your order purchase price in USD instead of taking us up on the offer, or if you have any further questions regarding your order then please can contact us at [redacted] and we will be happy to accommodate you.

Best regards and a Happy New Year!
Everyone at the CoinTerra Team

NICE!

I'm happy with delays from everyone! Makes our current miners more valuable. My KNC jup just ROId this week. good feeling to be brining in pure profit. Another month of mining and my mining ROI overall might actually turn positive! Which is crazy considering how negative I was only a few months ago.

KNC might turn into another BFL.   BFL produced FPGA rigs etc and then totally derped with their ASICs.  KNC produced 28mm jupiters without too much of a delay and now neptunes are nowhere to be seen.

What a ridiculous, pointless thread!

If you have been following either of the two companies even just a little bit you'd know that Cointerra TerraMiners release is imminent.  And the Monarchs are still months away.

BFL has no working ASIC chip or prototype unlike Cointerra who has entered production phase. Game Over.

UPDATE: Prototype Testing Completed, Certification and Production this week

Cointerra Video Proof

I would listen to BFL's own recommendation on their site:

"...do NOT pre-order this product... - BFL"

Quote
Shipping Schedule

#1 This is a Pre-Order product which is not yet shipping.

#2 If you're uncomfortable waiting until the development is complete and the product is shipped, do NOT pre-order this product.

#3 Perhaps undesirable, but this is a pre-order market.

#4 Customers flatly demand to get in line for the new technology before it's finished development.

#5 This has created a lot of drama for the manufacturers but it's something we simply have to deal with.

#6 All manufacturers in this space have experienced some degree of delay with their first generation ASIC.

#7 Every last one of them, so we're reluctant to give a specific delivery date.

#8 However, this is our second generation, so we have much greater clarity on the process and plan to begin shipments in January 2014.

#9 Orders are shipped in order date priority so any order placed now should be expected to be delivered in March.

Let us break it down line by line.

#1 They are not shipping.

#2 This is a pre-order product still being developed of an unproven and completely NEW design compared to their last product.

#3 Bold face lie. You can purchase from AntMiner directly for the past 30 days or more.

#4 That is a lie most of us want off the shelf products and thankfully we have alternatives and there will be more.

#5 BFL has created it's own "drama" making outrageous claims for shipping and performance on all their products and then failing to deliver either on time or to spec based on their own statements.

#6 BFL has experience the WORST delays in their ASICs 13 months deliver for some 65nm and already 3 months late on their Monarch.

#7 BFL is reluctant because they have done so in the past and have been a year late on some estimates and already 3 months late on their Monarch.

#8 "...plan to begin shipments in January 2014." Pure BFL Bullshit. They do not even have a working chip. No way can they state January shipping. Impossible and didn't they just state they won't give specific estimates? I think end of January is pretty much a 1 week window at end of that month right and you keep leading people on? ROFL scam.

#9 They will be lucky to get a working prototype by March don't expect to get an order made today until Q3 or Q4. The January estimate has been moved 2x now. From October to October/November to December/January. At this stage in their development these miners will likely need at least 2 to 3 months more work given what all the other fabricators have done to get to a working production run level. BFL is no where near Cointerra. Game Over.

...and ASICMiner for like, ever, before that.
