Description:

This auction is for my Nov Jupiter.  It's been hashing great since 06 December, but it's time to free up the PSU for another purpose.

Here is a picture of the page after logging into the miner to show it's hashing:

Here is a picture of the CGMiner screen (just switched to Eligius before this picture, hence the short uptime):

https://i.imgur.com/So4Xftcl.png

I just moved it to Eligius so you can see it in operation here:

http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1NYs27Einiham4uaJLuLgvnN9obDLFumsT

A picture of the machine sitting in my garage is here (my Mercury is on top of the Jupiter):

Starting bid:

5 BTC.  Bid in 0.5 BTC increments.

Buy it now:

12 BTC.

End date and time:

11:00am Pacific Standard Time (PST)

Payment methods accepted:

Bitcoin only.  Willing to do escrow and will split any escrow fees with buyer.

Additional information:

US bidders only.  I don't want to deal with customs, etc.

PSU is not included.  You must provide your own.  Check KnC for official recommendations, but I use a 1000W PSU.

I prefer local delivery within 250 miles of Los Angeles, but will ship via UPS if you live outside that area.  For shipping, add 0.1 BTC.  I will ship Friday afternoon if you have all your information to me and BTC either to me or escrow by then.  The last UPS truck of the day leaves around 16:00 PST from the UPS Store near my house.

Also, I will be offline most of Wednesday, 22 Jan for work.  I'll reply, but it might be slow that day.

Why not ship international. Customs charges are paid by the _receiver_ and it would not be any "hassle".

Probably a bad assumption on my part that it would be a hassle then.  Assuming the UPS folks can get it to you, I'll ship to you.

I have seen confusion with the UPS folks before when somebody had an international address that the employees didn't know how to input.  I wanted to avoid that.  If you have an address they can recognize or are available to work out any issues, I'll ship internationally.

7 BTC. I'm in SF, but I could drive down to LA to pick it up.

Hosting bitcoin miners for $65 to $80/kW/month on clean, cheap hydro power.

Sorry. Just will save the 0.1 shipping if you do a local pickup. No other discount.

Looks like you have personal experience of this guy. I was very interested in bidding, but am not going to bid against someone who won't pay!

OP, thoughts?

OP, thoughts?

After a quick glance through the forum, I don't see any obvious place Truman didn't pay for an auction.  Unless there is someplace to point saying he has a history of scamming, I don't have any reason to ignore his bid.

Thanks for the pointer.  I'll stick with Truman w/ escrow for now.  If he doesn't pay, I'll work through the PMs with the same offer (there are a couple) before going back through the lower bids.

And we're done.  Truman wins with 8 BTC.  I'll forward escrow details shortly.
