The bitcoin client loaded up. But when I click the icon to open the gui it wont come up. Idk how to fix this. It verfied the blocks or whatever it is just I cannot see the gui.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

what is the OS you install the client in ..

Try to copy the wallet.dat from app-roaming in user folder and then removed and reinstalled again.
