Interesting......

Now people just need to find a rig that can mine £9k of BTC a year to pay the fee without having to get a student loan.

Where does it say how much they are? 9k is ridiculous for any course, and I wouldn't like to pay it in BTC as who knows how much that'll be worth by the time you finish it

9k is now the general price to do a course in the UK now.

Old post, but i know most Unis now charge 9k for courses.

They shouldn't charge a penny. 9k a year is bullshit. I wonder how much it actually costs to do something worthwhile like become a surgeon? Can't imagine it costing the same as a degree in Business Studies or these Bitcoin-accepted 'Sustainable Leadership', and  'Sustainable Exchange' whatever the fuck they are.

It is a piss take when the government sell it off for pennies on the pound.

£9k per year at that, and the loans are used for more than just the fees in many cases, such as living costs.

Glad that I went to University when it was cheaper, and that I didn't need a loan. Screw that. It takes many years for the financial rewards to come from the costs of Uni, delayed even more for young people since the economic downturn.

Bloody bankers.

9k loan is for Uni.... you then get the live allowance loan on top of that which for most people is around 3.5k which barely covers rent.

Yup, but that's what I mean, it's a yearly thing isn't it. Courses used to be free, then around 1k per year, then around 3k then it got absolutely ridiculous.

It was 3k when i went to uni.... but the year before me was 1.5k, some people on my course who deferred a year only had to 1.5k for the same education as me.

Yeah when I went it was around 1.3k, then when I did my Masters it was 3k for that year, then when I started my PhD it was free as I had a scholarship. I really don't know how people can afford to go to Uni now, I'm pretty sure that the quality of education isn't massively better, if at all, yet the prices are uneconomical.

Yeah, I've got one friend who wants to pay it off ASAP, and another friend who only wishes to pay it off at the required rate that will take forever. I can see where the latter is coming from, the interest is worth paying vs paying back larger sums that can compromise your lifestyle.

Its currently better for most people to do the later because of the shit eco markets at the moment.

But if we see interest go back up that might change things.
