Yes, its quite risky. Most of the altcoins in top 100 are pretty good and if the market goes on a bull run, most of the top 100 will rise along with it and you will lose out.

Yes. In my opinion, the chances of losing money are much higher. It's like playing roulette. But if you are lucky and your number drops out, then you can earn much more on this than on the coins of their top 100. If you like to take risks, you can try your hand at investing in "shit coin", if you are more careful about investing , then I advise you to buy in a portfolio of coins from the top 20.

It is risky to buy any crypto currency at any given time in the initial development of the cryptomir. Look at the top 100 a year ago, 2 years ago. Not a few coins from past tops flew much lower or even died. By investing, just follow the project you are investing in.

It's risky buying a top 3 coin let alone a top 100.  it all boils down to risk/reward.  The top 10 coins most likely will not pay out like a top 500 coin that moons.  You have to decide what your goals are and go from there.  It's a entirely different strategy to make a income vs going for millions.

I don't consider not investing in the top 100 coins a risk. The top 100 coins were at one time considered risky investments. It all depends on who is behind the coin, and if it has a marketable idea plus a working product and possible sellable used cases! It was recently reported that only 36 or so of the first 100 coins have a working product, this if you ask me, will tell you there are also risky investments in the top 100 coins.

Of course it is risky to invest in low rating coins, but at the same time you would have chance to multiply your investment if your choise was made after deep researches. I used to invest both high rating coins and in low rting coins. It is always risky to invest in small altcoins, but you should choose good working product with low market cap. These are good chances for profit than.

First 100 are less risky, but if market goes down they are effected more. Small altcoins can catch green wave with red market easily. Depends on many factors.

I think there is no risk in buying coins that are not in the top 100 of the cryptocurrecy market. People invest into even ICO's and still they succeed in their cry[to business so top 100 coins doesn't really matters.

My opinion yes it is risky to buy above the top 100 , but some of Altcoin also profitable they can increase more than 1000% sometimes , it is all up to you .

Yeah, Whatever decision that you'll choose in here, first before investing in some project be sure to do your own research about it, and do it thoroughly, spend at least 20-30 minute each and check everything twice. There is more risk in low valued projects but ofcourse if they suceed gains are bigger. So do research not to get scammed or lose your money. Good luck mate.
