Hello all,

My first attempt to sell anything for Bitcoin.

For sale are:

crypflip.com
crypflip.net
crypflip.org
crypflip.info

They will not be sold seperately, so please only offer if you need all 4.

I have no idea whatsoever of value, and so I will just see how this goes. Offers are welcome in BTC via this thread (preferred) or by PM.

Any sale will be done by escrow only, as I;m a newb to this whole BTC trading thing, and I'd like a positive first experience Smiley

Offer away!

Rit./

Disappointed to see no replies. If nothing else, I'd be very happy with any advice for what I should ask. I did read that other thread asking silly money for a pretty poor domain Tongue I have no wish to be lumped in the same boat hehe.

Another option is that I would be prepared to use the domain for a share of an exchange/trade site developed under this domain. Once again, anyone interested, please just post or PM me.

Thanks Smiley

Open question:

Would 3 BTC be too much to ask? Same question for 2 BTC.

Opinions/ideas/offers/flames/random comments all welcome Grin

Well, after 80 views and no replies, this isn't looking too positive Tongue

I will try and give you some constructive feedback. I'll leave others to take a view on value of this specific domain/s but needless to say 2-3 BTC is a lot of money. Yes domains sell for that level but anything at that level needs to have strong branding potential or relate to high value concepts, topics & keywords already in use for its target audience.

As feedback, issue will be cry and flip as words don't match well with the target audience and searches if this is aimed at a bitcoin related product, service or business. cry is a very short truncation of crypto or cryptographic, possibly too short for most search assumptions and the fact it is a word in its own right with a very different meaning won't help either. flip doesn't have a strong word association, I know you can 'flip' something by quick buy-sell trading but that might be too weak an association.  Short domain name (7 characters) is better than many you see on here and .com never hurts.

What is you vision for the usage of this name?  It normally helps to given an indication of potential uses unless it is very obvious to all.

Hope that is viewed as useful and helpful feedback to your request. Disclaimer: only my view and I may have read it all wrong and assumed a specific target audience just because its posted on here.

Hi,

I have managed to misspell the title :/

The domains are crypflip. Not cryflip :/

And yes, I would see the name being used for an exchange possibly, or a switching pool.

Now to try to edit that title...

Sounds kind of cool, but not much resale value as it is..
Now, if it was cryptoflip.com we'd be interested  Wink

oncebitcoinedtwiceshy gave you some great advice.

Sure, spelling the domain name incorrectly won't help any Wink

At risk of going slight off topic another observation for you, if you take the words you used above^^ to describe the your vision & intent, then a higher value domain for that target would have some of those words in it. Examples might be cryptoswitcher.com , cryptoswitching.com, switcherpool.com

All three of those are still unregistered BTW, so if I were a buyer looking for something to fit the intent you describe for my business or project then I would rather spend US$10 * 3 = US$30 on registering those three domains than paying 2-3 BTC for the one you have listed. Unless of course I absolutely had to have the 'flip' concept in my branding in which case I'd probably find similar unregistered domains. You could of course register those other three yourself right now  Wink

Not trying to be clever, just providing feedback as you requested. Domains scoring valuations in multiple BTC range are more likely to be single keywords or phrases that someone just has to have as nothing else will work for them.

Thank you both for the valuable advice. As it stands, I am out only the fees to register the domains, which isn't very much, so putting it in perspective, expecting anything like 2 BTC for it is a bit much perhaps.

Nevertheless, the domains are still for sale, and to cover the reg fees, I would be happy with any offers exceeding 0.1BTC (at this time approx $100 USA, €62 europe).

Thank you!
