So i just finished compiling my altcoin and to test it without premining i was going to try to mine some testnet coins. I have two linux virtual machines running the program but they both have the same ip address. When i put the config file with the addnode = x.x.x.x  they do not connect. Do i need to port forward or something or are they just not connecting because they are on the same ip address? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
