I have spent so much time here without realising that you need to post as well. Assuming I have been active for 30 days without posting can I just post 30 times ? I doubt it will work

I think you can only get max 14 activity in a 2 week period. But worth a shot anyway

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I think there's an unspoken rule where you have to pledge your soul to Satoshi Nakamoto in order to become a member. Don't tell anyone I told you, because it's really a secret.

I am patiently participating in threads where I can add value even though I have limited time to read and post to eventually gain member status.  Smiley

Guys, I've just came across a great article when it comes to posting averages and different stats in regards to posting on Bitcointalk.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3320052.msg34678855#msg34678855-

What made my day was to learn that newbies don't post like crazy Smiley

Activity is designed in a way that you need not post daily for it to rise. You can complete all 14 activity in  a particular activity period by making the 14 posts in a day. You can even post more and these will be counted when you make at least one post in ext activity period.

but this activity in one day i think is not counting, you need to post everyweek or day i don't remember to get up your activity, for example if you will post 480 post in one day only 30 will be counting maybe, i don't know how much but it's the principe

Newbie to Jr. Member i think you need common sense
Jr. Member to Member you need merit and humility + humour
I'm still evaluating what does someone need to rank up....in the higher ranking..

It is because he has 0 merit, recently the forum has incorporated a merit system that goes along the activity for the member-level requirements.

it's simply explained in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0

As I like to say "You need to sharpen your common sense" by I saw your profile turning to Jr. now...
But to answer your question it is common sense you need!!!
Common sense to read the rules and you'll know what's the answer is.

I think you should post 30 previous activities that match topics like the following rules
Post is the number of your posts
Activity is the number of your posts in the biweekly period (14 days).
eg 2 weeks I just post 8, then the activity will only increase 8.
then I Post again until 20, my activity so 14!
Why 14? why not 20 ??
because the addition of activity only increased by 14 every 2 weeks
