US criminal investigators bitcoin manipulators.
The US Justice Department has launched a criminal investigation into the possibility that some traders are manipulating Bitcoin and other digital currencies. US authorities are worried that virtual currency is likely to be cheated for various reasons. And I'm worried bitcoin prices will fall again.

You should always include the source when you put news like this. They are investigating manipulation in the exchanges, and for anyone it is very clear that this exists. I think Bitcoin and other crypto currencies are just a small part of the global economy. But that does not mean regulators can ignore the wave of deception, fraud and market manipulation designed to trap gullible passengers.

Investigating market manipulations is something good.Why do people here think that it's something bad?
Do you want the whales to dictate the price and do whatever they want to get easy profits,while the small traders keep losing their investments?
I really want the BTC futures market to be closed,due to the future contracts price manipulations.This will boost the btc price.

This is nothing new as people are pulling pumps and dumps all over the place. I am not sure what is their plan on how they want to stop this thing and punish people who are manipulating the space. This is on global scale now. I mean with stock market at least when such things are done within new York Stock Exchange or some other their laws apply. But with crypto where you even have some decentralized exchanges and when you don't actually know who is whoa as not even all exchanges require KYC well then it is much harder to find and punish people for doing it. I mean what we are talking about when whenever new coin gets listed on coinbase before the announcement that coin gets pumped, happened with BCH before as well as eth and ltc. |

this news have 2 potential to make in market. The first one they will go after the ones who dump the btc and try to lower its price which is a good sign for us and the second one is they will also get after the ones who pump the price by making the btc a stable currency for long time.

They are accusing Bitcoin as a scam and cheat coin.. Because they are doing this already in their own fiat. Huge billionares are playing EUR/USD. Yes, I think that: US authorities fear virtual currency is likely to be cheated for several reasons. They fear that all exchanges are actively pursuing fraudsters; Frenzied price volatility can easily push prices up and down; Lack of regulations such as stock management and other assets.

This is a form of fraud that the future commodity market managers and stock markets have spent years trying to learn and handle the root. In fake transactions, a buyer sends some virtual orders and then cancels them when the price moves in the direction they want. This is manipulation of the price from the creation of a virtual demand. I think this is the cause.
