There have been too many ICO failures since this year. There are a lot of projects just to get into the exchange and cheat your money. I suggest you buy some longer altcoin, not to invest in new coins, that's a high risk.

So many reason ICO project failure. This is maybe some reason of ICO failure :

1. Lack of promotion team ( not active at Forum, Media Social & Website )
2. Don't have a clear White Paper & Roadmap making investors less interested
3. Not be tranparent of current ICO sell
4. Not reach a target / soft cap

Good Luck

Look at the old threads in the ANN section and token ANNs and you'll get your answers there. In fact, list all new ANNs from today until the end of the year and have a look on 1 January 2019. I guarantee you'll quickly find the first failures. This year will also see the failures of many ICOs from last year. We've seen plenty of huge projects already fail in deadlines, much less products. Monaco comes to mind. Hyped to high degrees. Cards gotten delayed and delayed. The list goes on.

Yes there have been many failed ico projects, the nature has been different, some of them were failed in raising their target funds from the ico so they had to abandon the project while some of them disappeard after raising funds in the ico like a classic ponzi scam, so we need to be vigilant and keep an eye on the red flags and try to stay away for fake or low quality projects.

I learned to move on from this failed Ico, there are to many to mentions and you are going to use on it, if you are an ico investors or bounty hunters, if you want the best and legit Ico, check the people who run this ICO, if they are legit and they are capable to implement it and also check their chat channel if they are not banning people for asking legit questions.

For safety and rest of mind, I will advice you to only invest in established alt coins. ICOS are scams now and most are just in for the money.
Goodluck with your pick.

I will give you some reasons that I know about such ICO failure!

Also where would you search about them if they were failed one, as most of them will wipe the data, websites and almost every dam thing from the internet to save their asses.

Anyway :

- Most common is not enough funds are raised during the ICO sales.
- ICO's getting listed on the exchanger but mega dump via bounty hunters causing the raised funds to turn upside down and insufficient money to develop.
- ICO getting negative ratings due to repeat idea, copied whitepaper, failed roadmap etc.
- ICO teams running away with our money  Roll Eyes
- Intentional failure to run with the money that we invested (Ex. Bitconnect)

actually i dont know any ICO project became failure, but there so many ICO scam now coming out in the market, but my question is why you want to research those project and knowing the reason of there failure instead of finding a good kind of reputation of ICO project development ? but will thats your own opinion bro,and we respect for that, but we just wondering only, otherwise its better to find out a good and great ICO,that can make us profitable and marketable products.

It is too early to talk about a failure, because most ICOs are less than one year old, there is a lots of ICOs that cannot solve legal issues for example, and that’s why they are not developing, there is one ICO called COMSA for example, I thought that it will be the best ICO of 2017, but there is no news coming from the team sense the token sale, but I wouldn’t call it a failure jet. And also there are some scamy projects that were not intended to do anything but gathering the money, or they gathering money because there is no any sane bank that is going to give them loan to their useless and borring project.

I haven't really heard of any ICO failure this year. Last year, dure to some financial issues the failure took place and then it recoverd. However, if you've chosen altcoin to invest, then go for ethereum. This is the best among all altcoins.

I think you should consider the TRACETO project. This is a great project with great potential. Only carefully study the projects in which you invest. This will help you avoid many problems.

What do you mean by ICO failure?
1.The ICO didn't manage to collect the money? A lot of them. Check ICO aggregator sites -> ICOs -> Past
2. The ICO collected the money, but failed to execute and deliver? I don't think there are much right now, because all of them have 1-2+ years long roadmaps.

If you are seeing waves platform and the majority of icos are running on there become fail. Encryptotel, INCNT and many more. They are all getting stuck and there is no a lot of progress right now.
Verge will become another fail ico because it has lost a lot of trust from the traders and investors.
The reason is hacked case, no build a proper business plan and etc.

But ICO project evaluation sites are not entirely accurate. As you can see, the indicators of an ICO are always high and no one can control it, and they can use it to increase the index without our knowledge. It is a negative on the Crypto market that we often trip and believe in.

I have heard of some projects that failed in the past. Someone once told me about cryptoBnB. So many people were so optimistic that it would succeed, yet it failed.
