CryptocurrencyTrader - New free beta version releasedCurrent version 0.41b - Released August 9th 2014 Winner of last poll : MintPal. Be sure to vote for the next exchange to get implemented! Greetings bitcoiners! This is a newer version of the same program that I announced here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=291447.msg3119961#msg3119961 . The name has changed slightly because others where also using that name ( cryptocointrader.net and others have nothing to do with me or this project ). About the program: Cryptocurrency-Trader is a trading terminal that aims to streamline trading in multiple exchanges. The program features an easy to use interface, address book and intuitive charts. There will be two versions of the program, the free version and the pro version. The free version will contain all the features in this beta version and will stay free as the name says. The pro version will have some added features like stop-loss orders and additional exchanges, and will cost something reasonable.. The reason why this program is released now while it is still in beta is to receive feedback from you. If you have suggestions or feature requests please post them on this thread. Exchange support ( Free version ) : BTC-e, Bter.com Additional exchanges in Pro : Cryptsy, Bitstamp, (MintPal public API only) Language support : English and Finnish. Platform support : Windows Vista and newer, may work on Linux. Warning : Program is under development and may contain bugs! The program is developed using Java 8 and does not support Java 7. Download : Direct download https://kilzeus.com/index.php/methods/download/1 or go to my website at https://kilzeus.com/index.php/store/product/1. Registering at the site is disabled and is not needed to download the software. Unpack the donwloaded zip-file and double click on the CryptocurrencyTraderFree-file to start the program. Manual: https://mega.co.nz/#!IEBFFA5B!AjjZ_DtQWtmbR4-tN1qNvkYKaf1t2U-NbEjKSHwPyaI or https://archive.org/details/user_manualAPI keys and security: The program will encrypt your API keys when they are stored using the username and password you provide. The API keys will only be used to communicate with exchanges. Your APIs secret key is never sent anywhere. For the program to work it needs to connect to exchanges. It will also use simple get requests to get information on trading pairs and price history from kilzeus.com. These are explained a bit more in the manual. Please post any questions and suggestions you have! #EDIT updated screenshots

No plans yet but that definitely looks interesting and i will have to take a closer look. The most immediate concern for me is to get Bter.com working and then implement stop-loss orders.

Minor update 0.22b!
Bter.com trading is now enabled and working with few oddities. Due to Bter.com having so many trading pairs I added a feature where you can show only those trading pairs that include the selected currency. Also added notifications when a trade is placed, cancelled or fulfilled. I will add the current version info into the opening post.
#EDIT removed old screenshot
Known bugs:
- In bter.com if a trade order is immediately fulfilled it will not be reported correctly.
Please give some feedback!

Project status update
Work has continued on the program by adding a new feature called conditional orders. Conditional orders will not lock away any of your money before being triggered. The current implementation allows you to define when they will trigger by setting a price and whether market price has to be above or below that. These kinds of orders are not supported by the exchanges so they need the program to stay on to function. This and some other features will be available in the pro-version of the program that will be coming sometime in the next few months. The pro-version will cost something to cover past and future development expenses.
Any questions? Improvement or feature suggestions? Feedback? Don't be afraid to post.
#EDIT old screenshots removed, OP has better ones.

Thanks for the feedback! Are the charts not working for all the trading pairs? I know some pairs are missing their price charts because the script used to get them is not updated with the latest trading pairs. The interface is still a work in progress and will get adjusted.

If you implement other markets like cryptsy, therocktrading, mtgox, coinmarket.io, etc. the list is quite big, but they all have apis, JUST for monitoring prices and have alerts maybe when price goes above or bellow a point, I would gladly pay real $ for the app! And I think many other would to.

Thank you for the support! Some information about the future of the project. The Pro-version of the program will be available within a few months. The release will contain conditional orders ( stop-loss orders ) and spread orders, which is useful for spreading many orders at specified intervals. This version will cost money. The exact pricing is yet to be determined but it will start cheap and will rise with every update. You get access to future versions when buying so you can save money by buying early and supporting development. Updates will add exchanges and improve and add functionality.
Feedback, improvement suggestions and feature requests are always welcome!

I updated the scripts again which caused graphs not to work for some time. They are working now. Cryptocurrency-Trader has also been updated. This is a small update that among other things makes the GUI more scalable to work with higher resolution screens. You may notice there are disabled tabs called Cryptsy and Alerts. Alerts tab is for price alerts you can set that will popup a notice when triggered. I am also working on support for Cryptsy. These features will be in upcoming Pro-version.
You can also find me on twitter @Kilzeussoftware .

What kind of data and charts would you like to see in the upcoming Cryptocurrency-Trader - Pro? At the moment I am working on zoomable price charts that can show much more data than the one day it now shows. Also thinking about getting volume history into the candlestick chart.

New Poll! You get to decide what will be the next exchange to get supported in Cryptocurrency-Trader Pro-version. Winner of the last poll was Cryptsy and it will be in the Pro-version when it launches next month. Also if you have any feature requests don't be shy and post it Also the program will be switched from Java 7 to the Java 8 for the better working GUI and bug fixes.

Definitely looking forward to the Pro version! Don't know if integrating this type of chart is feasible, but it would really be awesome if so: http://altlist.net/price-differences.phpAlso, equally awesome would be Open-Transactions integration: http://opentransactions.org/wiki/index.php?title=Main_PageAlso, any idea on what your price will be, and are you going to be integrating a real-time payout affiliate program?

That kind of chart is certainly feasible since the program already has all the data needed for it. I am thinking it would make sense to add that and maybe other kinds of comparative charts to their own tab ( like settings ) .
Open-Transactions looks really intriguing and will probably get implemented at some point but it wont be top priority unless it wins the vote.
The price of the product will be defined in euros but is only payable in bitcoin ( looking to add more payment options, don't know if there will be at launch ). The exact price will depend how much functionality will get added before launch, but now it seems it wont be much over 20 euros including taxes. When you buy a license for the product it includes future versions of that product. The price will rise for new customers when new versions are released. No monthly payments.
No plans about payout affiliate programs atm.

Adding the comparison data in a tabbed format would definitely make for an exceptionally smooth end user experience. Open-Transactions looks really intriguing and will probably get implemented at some point but it wont be top priority unless it wins the vote.
I'd be mighty obliged if you'd add it as a poll option (and kindly count my "Something else" vote as one vote for OT). I will then make a general Open-Transactions Community announcement accordingly, to cordially invite them in on the voting action. In all cases, very exiting stuff! And your price for the Pro version is more than reasonable; made better by the fact that you'll be accepting BTC.

I have been busy lately with some other stuff, but when time has been available I have worked on the Cryptocurrency-Trader. The free version will receive an update within the next week or two that adds some things like a new table where you can easily compare prices and volumes between any two exchanges for trading pairs they share. The update will also add a version check that informs you when a new version of the program is available. Do you think you will find compare table useful as it is or would it be better to have another table/chart for volume information and reserve this for just prices? A screenshot about the new compare table ( not totally ready yet ):

There seems to be an issue between btc-e:s new ssl certificate and Java 8 ( I have not tested Java 7, may also affect that ). The result is at the moment that Cryptocurrency-Trader does not work with btc-e. I am working on this issue and it will be fixed in the next update.

CryptocurrencyTrader - Free 0.3b releasedThis contains a fix for BTC-e problems that have occurred since their SSL certificate update. Interface look and feel has been tweaked. This update will bring Java 8 compatibility and it is recommended to use that (program may work with Java 7). This update was released fast because of the BTC-e problems and unfortunately I did not have time to test this with Java 7. As usual download from https://kilzeus.com/index.php/store. No registration required. New features: comparison table for viewing price differences between supported exchanges for trading pairs that they share. Price history chart now lets you view 3 days of price changes. Informs you when a new version of the program is available. Fixes & improvements: Quicker loading of price history, interface scaling improved in orders tab. BTC-e now works again. Remember: The vote is still open! The development will continue, so please report any issues or bugs you find so I can fix them at the earliest.

About the use of CryptocurrencyTrader name by othersThere have recently been some posts that have copied & pasted descriptions of my program to advertise their own "services". These have had nothing to do with me, and I would remind everyone that the real CryptocurrencyTrader is only available from my website at https://kilzeus.com/index.php/store . IF other sources of download become available then this thread and my websites news page will contain a post from me about it. Same goes with any deals or partnerships with any people or services.

The documentation is not really up-to-date. I will update the manual for the current version within a few days and add it to the website ( it is not there yet ). The old user manual link is on the opening post. Beware that information in that manual is not totally accurate for 0.3b since it is for version 0.21b. If you have questions regarding the use of the program then you can ask here and I will answer.

I updated the manual enough to get people started on CryptocurrencyTrader. If you think some aspect needs more explaining then I will update the manual further. You can download the manual from Mega https://mega.co.nz/#!IEBFFA5B!AjjZ_DtQWtmbR4-tN1qNvkYKaf1t2U-NbEjKSHwPyaI or Internet archive https://archive.org/details/user_manual if I managed to update that properly . OP also contains updated addresses. #EDIT updated BTC-e trading pairs. Restart the program to see changes.

Hi! The program has not been tested on Mac so I really cannot say anything about Mac compatibility. Do you have the latest Java 8 installed? You can get Java 8 from this link http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre8-downloads-2133155.html. If it still does not work then I will investigate the issue further ( propably some part of the software is not cross-platform ).

Bter is already supported, and Cryptsy will be supported in the commercial Pro-version that will be released before June 2014. About the MintPal, I will continue asking the community through polls on what exchange to add next, so keep voting. Current poll will remain open to the end of this month ( April ). I will look into adding weighted average price to the price chart.

Minor update 0.31bFixes connection issues with Bter.com, minor corrections to user interface. CryptocurrencyTrader should now correctly show where you have orders on the market depth for Bter.com (decimal rounding issue). Changed settings to make clear you have to input username and password before putting in API keys ( earlier version allowed you to put in API keys while forgetting username and password, they were not saved at all). Fixed a bug that removed a wrong address in the address book in some cases. As usual download from website at https://kilzeus.com/index.php/store (No registration required) or Direct download https://kilzeus.com/index.php/methods/download/1

The current poll will be closed on the first day of May. There is a big gap between the number of people voting for 'something else' and posting what that something else is, those without posts can't be counted. I have had a similar poll on litecointalk-forums and I will add the results together for the final count.

Poll and some newsI have started implementing Bitstamp support to CryptocurrencyTrader - Pro and now is the time to start the poll for the next exchange implementation! Just to be clear I will reiterate how it goes: The poll will be here and on litecointalk-forums and when voting ends I will add them together for the final result. If you vote 'something else' remember to post your choice or it wont count. The voting ends on to 15th of June. A few words on the release: Release of the Pro-version should happen by the end of May altough when exactly is still uncertain. The Pro-version will contain all the things in the Free-version and will have in addition (just some major things): - Stop-loss orders - Price alerts - Price history for a longer period of time - Additional exchanges: Cryptsy and Bitstamp, with more to be added When you buy a license for the Pro-version at any point you will also get all future updates for the product for the same price. The price for new customers will rise when exchanges are added. Exact pricing is also yet to be determined but it will be around 20 euros and payable in Bitcoin. I will sell it on my website. #EDIT: unlocked voting

I have updated the manual to my site, you can find it in the documentation tab ( go to store-> click on product -> documentation tab ). It is missing images but I will add those later. Just a reminder there is a new vote going on for next exchange implementation!
I will update the free version in the coming days. Included will be 4 hour average price index and price chart zooming, where candles will be combined if there are too many of them.

New version available ( 0.32b )!
It took a bit longer than promised because the price chart was suffering from memory leaks, those should be fixed.
Changes in this update include the following:
- 4 hour average price shown on the price chart - removed most of the disabled Pro-version things from the GUI - fixed the tooltip for price chart, now it shows high, low, open, close and start time

Please notice that while Bter is showing trading pairs for USD they do not seem actually usable at the moment and do not appear on their website. Why their API lists them I do not know.
A reminder to vote for the next exchange support!

Update on the release date. Due to having to draft and translate licence agreements and otherwise prepare, the launch of the Pro-version has been postponed at least to the end of next week (1st week of june).
I will keep you updated with the latest information.
#EDIT Also some development news, next version will allow you to select the price chart's average interval from 2, 4 and 8 hours. Bitstamp support is almost finished ( only in Pro-version ).

New version of CryptocurrencyTrader - FreeChanges include selecting from 2, 4 and 8 hours for the mean average price index and many smaller fixes to reduce memory consumption. As usual, get it from https://kilzeus.com/index.php/store. No need to register, just click on the product and then hit 'download' at the bottom. Voting for next exchange to get implemented in the upcoming CryptocurrencyTrader - Pro is still ongoing! It currently has Bter.com, BTC-e, Cryptsy and Bitstamp support, and will be released hopefuly within a week. The free version supports Bter.com and BTC-e.

Don't miss your opportunity to influence which exchange will get supported next in the upcoming CryptocurrencyTrader - Pro!
The voting was supposed to end originally on the 15th, which was yesterday. However since the situation is even I will let the voting continue until the end of this month.

Update on the release date for CryptocurrencyTrader - Pro
I have been combating the memory consumption and have located where the problem is, but not yet managed to fix it. This is something I think is needed before the launch can happen. The license agreements are ready and the web store is mostly ready, so the launch can happen this week or the next if anything unexpected does not happen.

There is still room in the beta testing group! Remember that this is your chance to get CryptocurrencyTrader - Pro for 5 euros instead of the 25 euros that it will cost for those not taking part in the test! The release of the Pro-version will happen this week, alltough I want to have the web store tested before that.

Plenty of room in the beta-group!The beta-test group for https://kilzeus.com/index.php/store web store still has room in it. The point of testing is to find any bugs in the site and test the purchasing functionality. In this test you can buy CryptocurrencyTrader - Pro, which will be published to all the people this week, for 5 euros instead of the normal price of 25 euros. While the price is defined in euros bitcoin is the only payment option. Registering is disabled in the site, and the only way to get into the test is to apply. Please dont hesitate to ask questions here or pm me for more information. To apply for beta-test group pm me with your name, address and email. I will handle the registration manually and send you your username and password.CryptocurrencyTrader - Pro is still in beta stages like the free version, but has already many features implemented. Compared to the free-version the Pro has longer time frame for charts, conditional orders (similar to stop-loss), price alerts and of course additional exchanges! Currently Bitstamp and Cryptsy are supported in addition to Bter and BTC-e in the free version.

CryptocurrencyTrader - Pro published!Copied main part from my webpage https://kilzeus.com/index.php/news: I am proud to announce that CryptocurrencyTrader - Pro is now publicly available for purchase. Compared to the Free version it contains advanced functionality like conditional orders, price alerts and additional exchanges. Exchanges supported by the product are BTC-e, Bter.com, Cryptsy and Bitstamp. The product is still under development but the above features are already in. In the coming weeks my plan is to implement a support ticket system to better service customer requests. Bitcoin through Bitpay is the only payment solution at the moment though I am looking to add more in the future.

Changed the price history data format back to floating point values. The earlier format didn't store enough decimals and some low-priced coins charts were quite useless because they were lacking accuracy. This change affects the data stored at the website that is downloaded by the CryptocurrencyTrader. The program itself can use very accurate data and no updates are necessary.

I have been very busy with many things including the website and other publishing related things. My timetable estimate for MintPal support will be around a month for the implementation and testing, so it is safe to say it should be done by the end of august.

Bot-like automated trading is not really the focus of this project. There is the conditional orders-feature where you can set the price trigger when the order will be placed. The feature is only in the Pro-version.

Kilzeus.com website has moved to a more powerful server and CryptocurrencyTrader - Free update! This means the website is now quicker to respond so it is nicer to use. This will also improve download speed for trading pairs and price history in CryptocurrencyTrader. The server is now only available on the SSL-secured https version and this has meant that CryptocurrencyTrader has been updated with the new addresses. As usual, download from https://kilzeus.com/index.php/store/product/1

Updates for CryptocurrencyTrader, both Free and pro versions!Version: 0.41b This updates the price history fetching so it works more reliably with the much longer history in the Pro-version. The Pro-version is also updated with initial MintPal public API functionality meaning that ticker and depth will be shown. Also some smaller changes like making the volume piechart currency selection list scrollable and shorter. Full MintPal functionality and other features will be coming shortly as well as an update to the manual for the Pro-version. I have been very busy with other work this summer so I have not been able to focus on CryptocurrencyTrader as much as I would have liked. However this seems to be changing after a few weeks. Both versions are available from https://kilzeus.com/index.php/store with the Free version being downloadable without registering. Notice that while the Pro-version will get all the new features the Free version will also be updated with bug fixes and improvements to the features that are part of it.

Left-field suggestion: be first service to cater to buy-and-hold "traders." Allow users to define a crypto basket by %. -So say 50% xTC, 20% xTC, 15% xTC, 10% xTC, 5% xTC. CcT will ensure the percentages match up correctly. Thus, if a user buys BTC (or whatever) and dumps it in their account, CcT will automatically make purchases so the percent holdings are in the specified range (or with confirmation for each trade to make sure nothing stupid happens) -- I'd assume "don't trade unless funds are deposited" would be a default-ticked box. This way, it would favor buying assets when they're "cheap" -- assuming nothing fundamental changes (in which case, the user would obviously want to change his %s or remove certain cryptos from being counted/auto-bought).
Since cryptos have a fair number of coins representing paper assets, this could be used as a one-stop commodity "investment manager" - so a user could include their "entire" commodities basket, from PMs, to biofuel, to, of course, BTC.

Unfortunately I have been far more busy than expected with studies and work. You may also know that MintPal has been upgrading their website and as I am writing this the API is also down. All of this has delayed the implementation. It will be done but the exact timetable is now a bit open. Also further note about news; instead of posting here, litecointalk and my websites news-section I will be posting smaller pieces of news through my website and twitter account only. Updates to the software and major news will still be posted here (and litecointalk).
