Hi, I will be running 6x 280x Graphicscards with one mobo, CPU, ram etc.

What would you say I need in terms of power?

1000W + 760W Platinum? To less?

I run 4x 280x on a 1050W Cougar PSU. It consumes 1150W when everything is up, so a 1500W PSU should do it with 6 cards.

I run 4 miners with 3 280x each, with 850w PSU each. so I guess 1600W al least.

I have a 760 Platinum and a 1000 Gold, Both Corsair.
Would you go 3x 280x at the 760W and 3x 280x + system on 1000W?

I will only run one miner with 6 GPUs on the same motherboard, so the Wattage from Mobo is just counted once

That might work. Which mobo is that?

That really depends on the type of 280x. In my experience Sapphire Toxic needs more power than the rest. If it's not a Toxic you should count 230-270W per card (undervolted between 1080mV - 1150mV). For Toxic 300W to be sure. I'd go for 3x 500W (650W) PSU (should be able to get gold cert. for $100 each). If you dont have mobo with molex, you should get some powered risers to reduce the risk of burning your mobo.
