as goes for any update/upgrade, always backup your previous states ( in this case wallet.dat ).

i strongly advise you to backup your wallet to a memory stick.

maybe even encrypt your wallet, just in case this is going to the moon.

the update in the source is rather small but trivial.

yes, on average the block payout is +/- 500k.

Difficulty would self adjust, but people may need to cover electricity costs at a bare minimum ad also sell to lock in some profit.  There is no guarantee that a coin will be successful, s if a profit is on the table now, some will take it.  Some will hold.

Given the hash rate applied withn 48 hours of launch, this looks like being a success to me.   There hae been very few coins launched recently which have good outlook with low or zero premine.  The other tw are linked in my sig.  This one will be shortly.
