Explanations, long-term strategy and goals.

Hi there! My name is Crystal Metaphysician. I am the lead manager of this project. We’re a group of seven people based in Montreal and Hong Kong, and we have been thinking and developing DieselCoin for the last weeks. Maybe I should have explained earlier our approach and our intentions, which would have created way less confusion.


The three reasons why we created this coins

1) Every day, we grow more and more sick (like everybody else) of seeing a total lack of originality among new altcoins. Coins that all pretend to be game changers, coins that bullshit, coin that lie, coin that will just be “added” on Coinmarketcap, and create even MORE confusion in this already crazy-beyond-logic market. To be honest, we definitely have a problem with coins that threaten mass adoption of crypto-currencies – which is a common goal we all have here. Am I right ?

2) Worst!, most of the altcoins that are launched are seriously, seriously,  BORING and lack any kind of humor and – not that I want to reveal some special truth about Internet – but this is super dangerous to develop boring things in 2014! We’re on Internet! Things get outdated fantastically fast. To succeed, a good product must be sharp, catchy and….. somehow provocative.

3) Finally, we believe the best way to democratize Bitcoin is by making cryptos that are fun and entertaining. We believe altcoins can go way further than what is happening at the moment, and by that, I mean, reaching real people. Otherwise, Cryptos will stay something that only “freaks” use, and definitely, definitely, this is not good for the market. In this perspective, Coinye and Dogecoin have done more than (let's say) Litecoin to democratize Bitcoin, by using images and references people already knew - even if developers of Coinye have deeply underestimated the power of the American legal system, and also the power of real money.


Coin Innovations:

We are the first crypto-currency that is a CONTENT PLATFORM, and that wants to reach regular people through humor (or provocation; really depends how you see it!). Content. It's kind of a big deal, right ? Look at our website and watch our video. But I agree that absurd humor is not for everybody, but then again, is any kind of humor for everybody? People on this forum want technical innovations, but can a good innovation be simply in the way we communicate with the public? Innovation in the way we launch and market a coin? We believe so. Coinye have been super innovative. Not technically, of course, but by bringing the crypto culture to the masses. This is a real tour de force.

Also, we’re the first crypto (maybe with Xivra) that says absolutely no bullshit (unlike many other copycats we can easily think of). If we say bullshit, well it's only humoristic!   We’re simply a fun gadget/thing, nothing more. A funny way to be introduced to crypto-currencies culture, exactly like Dogecoin or Coinye have been last month. We think fun and entertainment is the royal way to sell crypto-currencies to regular people. Fun is the only rule on Internet, like swing is the only rule in music.
