Not trying to undercut you, but I'm new to putting SSL in my websites and I get my certificates for free here: https://www.startssl.com/Why are yours better? Thanks for your question - Free certificates like StartSSL free SSL are usually not trusted in all browsers. so in some browsers a warning message telling your visitors that the certificate is not trusted.
- One of the purposes in getting an SSL certificate is to assure your website visitors. visitors won’t recognize the names of StartSSL, so they will receive less assurance.
- Free SSLs can be less reliable and possibly slower, they have fewer resources to keep their servers fast
- And you will not receive any warranty
$3.98 per year / 12 = 33 cents per month, it's almost free  |

Indeed with a well known company behind the Certificate, you can put an image at the footer of the website. Its like buying an endorsement on security. |

Took about 40 minutes until the payment was confirmed (guess 6 confirmations?) and another 10-15 minutes to send my CSR, verifying my e-mail and receive the certificate. Works fine with Firefox, Chrome + IE8 (didn't test others). |
