It may appear playing against yourself in the first round would be advantageous as it gets you a guaranteed spot in one of the SF matches. In realty having 2 tickets is a 1/4 chance of winning either way! It really is just a modified format that I thought might be fun it doesn't change the odds of winning from 1/8 in any way. There is no skill involved and I can't see how anyone could "game" the system so I hope this isn't keeping people from joining! Thanks for bringing it up! |
